John Dale Dunn, Director

Dr. John Dale Dunn has been a physician since 1971, board certified in family practice from 1976 to 1989, board certified in emergency medicine from 1985 to 2024. He is an attorney since 1979, admitted by examination to the Bars of Nebraska in 1979, Louisiana in 1985, Texas in 2000 but he has never represented a client in a legal matter. He is certified by the Texas Courts as a Mediator.


Dr. Dunn has been an author/contributor and editor of articles and texts in Health Care Policy and Law, Medical Legal matters, Emergency Medicine and a lecturer and writer in matters related to environmental science, toxicology, and epidemiology with an emphasis on the legal evidentiary issues.


Dr. Dunn retired from clinical practice of Emergency Medicine in 2017 and continues be a member of the voluntary faculty as a lecturer.  He is the medical officer in charge of corrections for the Sheriff of Brown County, Texas.  He is a consultant in peer review matters and medical staff affairs for rural hospitals in Texas.
