Should the ALARA concept and the Image Gently campaign be terminated?

About 15 years ago, an article in American Journal of Roentgenology raised concerns about the radiation dose from pediatric CT scans based on the linear no-threshold (LNT) model and based on the claim that children are more radiosensitive, i.e. they have a higher risk of radiation-induced cancer.
